Bob Oswaks is the founder of Bob’s Well Bread, based in Los Alamos, CA. Travel Magazine sites the bakery as one of the top 15 amazing bakeries in the U.S. Bob and I worked together when he was President of World Wide Market for Sony Pictures Television and I was under an overall television development deal with them. It’s funny how we both ended up in the bread business, 3,000 miles apart.
We talk about everything that went into starting his bakery, including the two years it took to develop a business plan and business model. His two years studying bread baking in San Francisco, why he chose Santa Barbara as his location, and what type of oven he uses and why.
